Gear & Clothing:

Hiking footwear is strongly recommended. Wide brimmed hat and sunglasses. Wear clothing that covers skin, such as long sleeve tops and long-legged pants. Layer your clothing to control the temperature. Always bring rain gear. Check for ticks and bites. Polypropylene wicks perspiration away and is used for inner wicking layer. Synthetic fleeces or wool work well as a middle insulating layer. The outer layer should be windproof and waterproof. Two layers of socks help prevent blisters and improve temperature regulation.

Waivers:
Thames Valley Trail Association (TVTA) requires all hikers to sign a waiver before participating in any hike organized by TVTA. Currently, hikers sign a waiver sheet provided by the Hike Leader at the start of each hike. However, some Hike Leaders may request that you print off the individual waiver, complete and sign it and hand it to the hike leader prior to the hike commencing. The waiver can be downloaded at the link below and there are 3 blank waivers per page.
