Longwoods Conservation Area Thanks TVTA For Our Help

With Free Day Use Admission for 2017

Thanks to those TVTA members who have volunteered to assist with the installation of new nature trail signs that will guide and inform hikers as they enjoy the pathways through Longwoods.

As a thank you for this help, the Lower Thames Conservation Authority is pleased to offer TVTA  members free day use admisson to their conservation areas, including Longwoods Road and C.M.Wilson Conservation Areas for the year 2017 , effective immediately.   As TVTA members , we can take advantage of this free admission, even if we are not on a TVTA sponsored hike.

To visit the conservation areas for free, we need to place our TVTA membership cards in plain sight  on the dashboards of our vehicles.   LTCA now  patrol their conservations areas for proof of payment of admissions.  These officers will have a copy of the TVTA membership card for comparision.

Thames Valley Trail Association in celebration of Canada’s 150 year anniversary is offering a special draw for those hikers who complete an E2E of our trail within this year.

How to qualify for the draw:

1.         Hike the TVTA trail and finish before the end of 2017.

2.         Self-directed: Keep a log with name, date you hiked and what area you hiked on this date. Submit log to TVTA Activities Director  (or to Pat J)  when you complete the whole trail..

3.         Join an organized TVTA End-to-End this year.
