The Thames Valley Trail Association is a charity that relies on donations and thousands of member volunteer hours to develop & maintain over 100 KM of public trails and organizes 5 or more hikes and walks per week.
We publicize and develop a favourable attitude towards trails, walking and hiking as a form of recreation and leisure both within and outside the association, and promote an appreciation of our natural environment.
Our Board of Directors is made up of volunteers from all walks of life. Over the past 40 years we have developed a mix of hiking and walking activities suitable for individuals and families of all age groups and physical capabilities.
The TVTA organizes and leads hikes in London, Ontario and the surrounding areas. Members of the general public are warmly invited to join us on our hikes and Saturday Morning Walks. Meetup with our certified hike leaders at the times and locations published in our event calendar.
We publish a guide to hiking the Thames Valley Trail. The Trail Guidebook provides natural, historical, and cultural background information on the Thames River Valley and the Thames Valley Trail Association, in addition to maps, directions and practical advice for hiking the Thames Valley Trail.
